For this year’s NOCP we are taking applications for TWO to THREE Co-Coordinator positions.

Role Purpose:

  • In the months prior to July, Co-Coordinators will work with the NOCP Director (we encourage you to read their role description!) to plan and prepare for NOCP. Come July, Co-Coordinators will work with the supervision of the Director to run NOCP.

  • Co-coordinators will work together to delegate and distribute the tasks below based on strengths and areas of interest. Co-Coordinators will be responsible for land based activities and support captains and CITs out on the water. NOCP also incorporates a hiking rotation where each day one team will go hike the local mountains while the other teams fish. We will continue hiking this year and depending on interest, one of the co-coordinators can lead the daily hikes.

Scope of Responsibilities

The following responsibilities/tasks are shared by the three Co-coordinators with the suppervision of the Director:

This includes leading (or working with other staff) our fishing, hiking, and education programs.

Pre-NOCP:

Education & Programming:

  • Co-develop educational themes and topics

  • Plan Education components:

    • Ice breakers and intro days (team flag, team food box, etc)

    • Morning service topics and speakers

    • Evening Programs (speakers and activities)

    • Sunday Service and afternoon program

    • Non-fishing days activities

    • Time on boat

    • Coordinate hikes and outdoor activities for Hike Lead (One coordinator would serve as the daily Hike Lead).

  • Secure speakers and presenters

    • CPR/First-Aid Course

    • Testimonies

  • Prepare team leaders

  • Compile NOCP HDH booklet

  • Coordinate service project

  • Support CIT program development


Logistics & Finance:

  • Registration

    • Update website with details and information

    • Oversee participant correspondence via email and social media

    • Keep track of scholarship applications and administration

    • Collect all necessary signed waivers and forms

    • Encouraging Sponsor Page signups and donors

  • Meals: Coordinate cooking staff for 40 and 21 day programs

  • Travel: Assist staff in securing flights

  • Hoodies: Coordinate design of hoodie & process orders

  • Lodging: Assign rooms & prepare sleeping arrangements

  • Purchases

    • Assist in all necessary pre-program purchases

    • Tournament prizes (style, prizes, etc)

  • Banner design & printing

  • Create team rotations for cleaning assignments, daily boat/hike assignments, and transportation

  • Finances: Keep track of incoming fees and outgoing scholarships

Marketing & Media:

  • Coordinate promotion plan (to Family Fed networks, SR5, social media)

  • Produce marketing materials (Flyers and video)

  • Post promotions to social media

  • Work with captains, directors to secure team leaders and CITs

During NOCP:

Education & Programming:

  • Facilitate daily education

    • MC schedule

    • Help present Morning Services

    • Lead evening programs

    • Lead non-fishing activities

  • Correspond with speakers and presenters

  • Check in with team leaders each day

  • Oversee collaboration with service project coordinator

  • Support CIT education

  • Hike Lead: lead daily hikes for team and facilitate programming

Logistics & Finances:

  • Oversee site setup with Team Leaders: Rooms & Meeting Areas

  • Coordinate any on-site purchases for program & activities

  • Coordinate compilation of booklets

  • Coordinate with staff for any meal requests

  • Oversee cleanup assignments and schedules

  • Coordinate daily transport

  • Collect and track all staff reimbursable expenses

  • Submit forms to bookkeeper

  • Keep director informed of budget standing

Marketing & Media:

  • Write weekly blog post for website with highlights/testimonials

  • Write weekly summary for donors

  • Post photos daily to IG/FB

  • Capture activities via photo/video

  • Record during/end testimonies

  • Compose program summary write up


End/Post NOCP

  • Clean Up and pack up facilities used (kitchen, office, sleeping areas, gear, etc)

  • Finances: Ensure all reimbursements submitted

  • Remain an extra one day post-program to ensure facility is completely cleaned and broken down

Requirements:

  • Have a passion for fishing, nature, and developing your faith (or be willing to discover it)

  • Be excited to create a encouraging, positive, and spiritual environment for participants and staff

  • Available for 1-1.5 hour Zoom meeting weekly/bi-weekly leading up to July

  • Attend the full program; core staff arrive sometime the week of June 14 and depart July 29

  • Workshop leading experience preferred, but not required

  • NOCP Alumni are strongly encouraged to apply, but past attendance is not a requirement

  • NOCP fee ($2500), fishing license ($200), and gear is covered by NOCP
